Dutch league leaders PSV Eindhoven inflicted the worst ever league defeat upon rivals Feyenoord Rotterdam as they thrashed them 10-0 in an Eredivisie game.
The scoreline was only 2-0 in favour of PSV at half time, but the Eindhoven giants ran riot in the second half as Feyenoord failed to offer any kind of resistance. Feyenoord ended the match with ten men following the dismissal of Leerdam in the first half.
Jonathan Reis scored a hat trick for PSV in this 10-0 thrashing, while Jeremain Lens and Balazs Dzsudzsak scored two each.
Inter Milan dropped points at home against Sampdoria, thus increasing the gap between the Nerazzurri and leaders Lazio. Cameroon international Eto’o rescued a point for Inter after Stefano Guberti had given Sampdoria the lead.
