Finland 8-0 San Marino video- Litmanen becomes oldest scorer

Former Liverpool and Ajax star Jari Litmanen became the oldest ever scorer in European qualifier when he netted in Finland’s 8-0 thrashing of San Marino.

Litmanen, who is nearly 40, broke a fifteen year old record held by the Republic of Ireland’s John Aldridge.

Injury to keep Ryan Taylor out for 10-12 weeks

Newcastle United have been dealt a blow by the news that versatile midfielder Ryan Taylor has been ruled out for the next three months with ankle damage. Taylor suffered the injury when he collided in training with defender Sol Campbell.

Taylor, who can play as both a right midfielder and a right back, will miss all of Newcastle’s upcoming games in November and December and possibly January too.

Taylor has made four appearances for the Magpies this season and joins a growing injury list that already includes Kazenga LuaLua, Hatem Ben Arfa and Steve Harper.

Schalke 3-0 St.Pauli highlights- Raul goals

Struggling Schalke 04 secured a much needed Bundesliga victory as they beat St.Pauli 3-0. Former Real Madrid star Raul scored a brace for the Royal Blues as they climbed out of the bottom three with a 3-0 win.
