Burnley leapfrog Newcastle United in the league standings, with Jeff Hendrick’s goal seeing them beat the Magpies at Turf Moor.

Hendrick netted in the 74th minute to send the 21,031 strong crowd into raptures.

The win means Burnley are now seventh in the table (level on points with 6th place Liverpool but below them on goal difference). The Clarets had lost 3-0 to Man City last weekend, while Newcastle had beaten bottom of the table Crystal Palace at home
