Benjamin Mendy Duncan Castles Twitter Incident Spat 2017

Man City left back Benjamin Mendy injured his knee in his side’s recent 5-0 win over Crystal Palace, leading to fears that the former Monaco star could be out for an extended period of time. Journalist Duncan Castles tweeted saying the 23 year old, the only real specialist left back on Guardiola’s books, could be out for a nine month period, but Mendy issued a riposte to him, asking him why he was speaking like a doctor when his bio read journalist.

John Stones performance vs Feyenoord Champions League- 100% pass completion – 96/96

Man City’s John Stones had a great game at the De Kuip against reigning Dutch champions Feyenoord earlier this evening.

The young defender finished with a 100% pass completion rate (96/96) and also had 5 clearances, 4 aerials won, 4 blocks, 2 shots and 1 interception. He also scored two of Man City’s four goals (the other two scored by their Argentine-Brazilian combination of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus) and had no fouls to his name!.

Stones also had a good game against Liverpool over the weekend (Man City won that game 5-0) and Pep Guardiola will certainly be pleased with the youngster’s progress.
