RB Leipzig 2-1 Bayern Munich 2018 | Leipzig’s first ever win over Bayern
RB Leipzig claimed their first ever win over German champions Bayern Munich as goals from Naby Keita and Timo Werner saw them edge the Bavarian giants 2-1 at the Red Bull Arena.
Bayern, whose last competitive defeat prior to this game was the 2-1 loss away at Borussia Monchengladbach back in November, took the lead in the 12th minute when Sandro Wagner headed in James Rodriguez’s pin point cross.
However Leipzig were causing Bayern all sorts of problems on the right, and their equaliser, not surprisingly, came from that flank. Timo Werner’s first time effort was deflected by Niklas Sule, but Naby Keita was on hand to slot home the rebound in the 37th minute.
Leipzig completed the comeback in the 56th minute and it was Keita and Werner who were involved again, with the former setting up the latter. Werner’s goal was his first after a seven game goalless drought in the Bundesliga.
RBL had failed to win in four previous attempts against Bayern and this was also their first league win in over a month (the last one being the 2-0 home win against Augsburg)
Leipzig’s next game is away at Hannover while Bayern will host Borussia Dortmund.

HTAFC 0-2 CPFC 2018 | Crystal Palace snap seven game winless streak
Goals from James Tomkins and Luka Milivojevic saw Crystal Palace end their seven game winless run as they beat Huddersfield 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The win saw Palace move out of the bottom three and leapfrog Southampton and West Ham to within a point of Huddersfield, the Premier League newbies who might now find themselves in a relegation fight.
Palace look a different team with Wilfried Zaha on the pitch and the Ivorian was again influential in this victory over the Terriers. It was he who earned the corner that resulted in Palace’s first goal. Milivojevic’s delivery into the box saw Jonas Lossl save James Tomkins’ first time effort, but the Dane was powerless to stop the defender from slotting in the rebound.
Town had a good chance to equalise when Mamadou Sakho lost possession in a dangerous position, but the former Liverpool defender recovered to make a last ditch tackle on Steve Mounie.
Tomkins nearly scored from a corner in the second half as well, but Mounie’s goalline clearance denied him a brace. However Palace did get their second when Jorgensen clumsily brought down Milivojevic in the box, and the Serb got up to send Lossl the wrong way from the penalty spot.
Not only was it three points for Palace, but it was also a rare clean sheet for Roy Hodgson’s men.
