Sheff Utd 1-2 West Brom | Baggies leapfrog Blades in league table

Goals from Gareth Barry and Kieran Gibbs helped West Bromwich Albion claim a 2-1 win over Sheffield United in this Friday night Championship clash at Bramall Lane. The 23,400 strong crowd saw the home side take the lead through David McGoldrick’s 12th minute effort but Harvey Barnes, on loan at Albion from Leicester, set up two goals to allow the Baggies to come from behind. The win also saw Darren Moore’s side leapfrog the Blades in the league standings- WBA are now third in the table with 39 points from 22 games, just three points behind Leeds, who’ll play struggling Bolton over the weekend.

Interesting stat- Barnes was just six months old when Barry began his professional career!
