PFA Championship Team of the Year 2016 | Season 2015-16

The PFA Championship Team of the season has been announced, and features four Burnley players. The Clarets, who currently occupy one of the two automatic promotion spots have representatives in the form of skipper and goalkeeper Tom Heaton, defender Will Keane, veteran midfielder Joey Barton and striker Andre Gray.

Leaders Middlesbrough have two and a “half” players- George Friend and Adam Clayton being the two and Daniel Ayala being the half (he shares his spot with Hull’s Michael Dawson)

Only two players are from clubs outside the top six- Brentford’s Alan Judge and Fulham’s Ross McCormack

Britannia Stadium renamed as Bet365 Stadium by Stoke City

Stoke City have agreed a six season stadium naming rights deal with Bet365 that will see their current Britannia Stadium renamed as the “Bet365 Stadium”. The Britannia has a capacity of 27,902 but Stoke will redevelop it and increase it’s capacity to over 30,000. Champions League SF preview- Who will make it to Milan?

We started with 78 teams and are now down to four- Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid. Barcelona’s surprise exit at the hands of Atleti ensured the continuation of the holders’ “curse” in the Champions League- no team has won back to back titles in the competition since AC Milan did it in 1990.

The draw held in Nyon gave us Man City v Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid v Bayern Munich in the last four.
